Lookers (LOOK); reports positive trading for Q1 2019

On a like-for-like (LFL) basis, both turnover and gross profit for new cars were maintained at levels similar to last year

Lookers provided its trading update for the three months ended 31 March 2019. The turnover of new cars and used cars increased by 3% and 8%, respectively. Total gross profit from new cars rose 4% with a modest increase in profit per unit, while gross profit from used cars increased 2% (vs. previous year) with profit per unit maintained at previous levels.

Metals Exploration today posted its final results for the year ended 31 December 2018. The company reported an after tax loss of $176.4m. Total debt, excluding unpaid interest/fees and cash, stood at $103.2m and $1.5m respectively as of 31 December 2018.

De La Rue (DLAR); revenue grew 12% to £516.6m for FY 2019

De La Rue announced its full year results for the 12 months ended 30 March 2019, reporting that group’s adjusted operating profit was up 6% to £60.1m and basic adjusted EPS, excluding paper, increased 12% to 42.9p (2018: 38.2p).

Oxford Biomedica (OXB) announced Novo Holdings A/S agreed to invest up to £53.5m in the company in return for new ordinary shares, representing up to 10.1% of OXB’s outstanding shares after the capital increase. The proceeds from the transaction will be used to repay the existing debt facility with Oaktree Capital Management in full and further develop the LentiVector® platform and the proprietary product portfolio.

Avanti Communications Group (AVN); closes $55.0m 1.5 lien credit facility

The 1.5 facility ranks senior in relation to the company's high yield notes and junior in relation to the company's existing super senior debt

Avanti Communications Group announced the closure of its new $55.0m two-year 1.5 lien credit facility. The 1.5 facility matures in May 2021 or, if the company’s existing super senior facility is extended, in July 2021. Loans made under the 1.5 facility will bear PIK interest at an annual rate equal to 12.50%.
